The Austin Swing Syndicate is open to all ages and all levels of experience — the only thing you need is a love of swing dance.

How do I join?
Joining is simple — show up at any Thursday dance and fill out a form at the front desk, or download it here, print it out, and fill it out. After you've paid your dues, you're in! You'll receive a membership card.

How much does it cost?
All proceeds from member dues go towards the venue costs for the weekly dances and towards organizing events for Syndicate members. Dues are:

• $25/year for the general public, or
• $15/year for students

Save money at dances outside Austin
The Austin Swing Syndicate has reciprocal deals with many of the local Swing dance societies. Show your membership card and get the member price at dances, workshops, and functions with the Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston, San Antonio, and Tulsa (OK) Swing dance societies and the Texas Aggie Swing Cats.

Save money with local merchants
We also have special discounts with local merchants. To receive your discount, you must present your current card at the time of purchase. Please tell them how much we appreciate their partnership.

Dorothy's Dance Store
Dorothy's in Round Rock will give all persons who are associated with the Syndicate 10% off shoes & merchandise.

Hai Ky Vietnamese Restaurant
Upon showing your membership card, Hai Ky (1931 East Oltorf Street, 693-2464) offers a 10% off dine-in discount for all Syndicate members. Contact Hong Tran if you have any questions.

Syndicate member Greg Wright-Crowe, O.D.
Greg runs a private eye clinic at 10800 N. Lamar (between Braker and Rundberg). He is offering 15% off everything including eye exams, glasses and Lasik, and 5% off contacts — insurance plans not included. (People holding insurance get big discounts anyway.) He accepts VSP, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Texas, Great West and Aetna for those people who do have insurance. (You'll find it in the Yellow Pages under "Austin Optometry Group")

Gingiss Formal Wear at Northcross Mall
Gingiss offers a $35 discount off all tuxedo rentals ($74-$99 retail). Accessories cost $14.95 and up. Members must mention their affiliation with the Syndicate and show their card.
